NYC state of Mind

subway2

This collection honors the rich history and culture of the New York City Subway. The first underground line opened its doors in 1904 and it quickly became the largest system of its kind in the United States.

The Subway token motif, meticulously engraved in gold ink at the top of our Ecru #3 (6-3/8” x 4-1/4”) correspondence cards, pays tribute to the iconic coins that were used for fare payment up until the early 2000s. The Ecru #3 envelopes are hand-lined with representations of the unique artwork that grace every station. We chose imagery from stations in Manhattan that range from our home on the Upper East Side, down to the West Village.

This collection comes as a set of 10 cards and envelopes and includes two of each of the following envelope finishes:

  • 77th Street
  • 81st Street-Museum of National History
  • Fifth Avenue
  • Christopher Street-Sheridan Square
  • Canal Street

Available  through Gore Dean Home, City Life Catalog, babe on broadway and Kasaboo Home
